Wudu : Abolution

Abstraction/Purification ritual for UPRIGHTING PRAYERS..

This prayer should follow the Fatiha.

Now that we introduced my view on what the Fatiha means, the next step is to check how my understanding fits with the rest of the Quran especially the concept of Prayer where the Fatiha plays a heavy role in. Of course we can't talk about Prayer without addressing the issue of WUDU that must be conducted before you "pray". For non-muslims, I'm talking about The process of washing various body parts as a purification ritual before a muslim can perform their 5 daily prayers. Prayers that involve reading the Fatiha during every "Rakaa" of each of the 5 prayes, in case you didn't understand why I said the Fatiha is or was considered a big deal in what they considered Praying to God. Something that my interpretation found to parallel my non-religious "prayer" in search of "The Truth" of God. But more on that later.

So, let's look at the verses about "Wudu" or "Ablution":

ا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُوا بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ

5:6 to

Now I believe are clear cut instructions analagous to the rules of the Scientific Method that you would expect the Creator to be pushing on the reader to exercise - Especially given what we know about its importance in separating Truths from false or bias results. But I want to add another fact first related to how you should frame your perspective when reading the Quran which is "who" God is talking to. More specifically, which part of what you call "you" do you think is being addressed by God? Because while we haven't gotten that far yet, you're going to find that identifying who "you" is will be a mighty difficult task ahead. But I can cheat a little and make a simplified guess that I know isn't going to be too far off from the conclusion we'll arrive at about who "you" are. And I think using the MEET DAVE idea will help you remember this concept about your Inner Believer being the "main character" of the Quran.

If you don't remember or haven't seen the movie, the movie I believe was about alien race that looks human but a lot smaller wanted to visit earth and they operated a human sized machine from a command center in the machine's head. I don't remember much else but I will probably re-watch it soon given all the parallels about my model's of the Mental Complex as Internal Images of smaller individual Minds cooperatively making the decisions that you believe that you are making. Additionally, I think the Feminine SubMind's type of influence on the final Decisions will find a greater parallel judging by this next poster. But notice how the MACHINE and the LEADER of the group are both Eddie. Hence, a Fractal image relationship but the MACHINE was following the instructions by decisions influenced by many other factors other than small dave's desire, at least influenced what he still considered HIS decision.

What I want you to take away from introducing this as an "example" is that although the language of the Quran will apply to more than 1 space of creation, the language related to fundamental abstract concepts should be applied first and foremost to the most fundamental "space" and then see if it carries over "as is" or needs to take other factors into considerations. But mainly, the ideas related to CONSUMPTION of IDEAS, taking RESIDENCE in more SECURE HOUSES, TRAVELING to GOD'S HOUSE, are NOT INSTRUCTIONS for the MATERIAL REALM. It would be like thinking that God's law was instructing our MACHINE and completely ignoring what actually matters and makes a real difference in the world, for us and our environment which is THE "ME" WHO BELIEVES, i.e. The SUBMIND of our mental complex whose job is to determine WHAT and WHEN to BELIEVE and NOT BELIEVE. That's the SPACE God's message is focused on and targetting. Everything else in reality is a function of this space in humanity's collective mindset. A mindset measured entirely by its proximity to God's True Religion that I believe I'm "remind you" of since it seems to have been "lost in translation".

And one final thing before we get into the verses of Wudu, this should also tell you that God is speaking to YOU, as in the READER, everytime he's addressing "you". And the reason I mention it is because I don't think many if any translations or interpretations don't right it in in brackets that God is talking to the Prophet. I don't know if he's ever talking to him exclusively in the whole Quran. He's talking to anyone who cares to listen....

Oh you who are "secure*", if you "rose*" to pray, then WASH your FACES and your HANDS up to the MEETING POINTS (not Elbows)

5:6 to 5:9

Secure* is the state reached by the mind that BELIEVES/DISBELIEVES, hence it's the term for those that reached the Point of Peace and accepted the Faith after/because of having understood it.

Rose* is the past tense of "rise" but it doesn't actually mean to stand up or elevate, not necessarily at least. What the arabic word associated with "RISING" that is "QIYAM" means is the action of making something UP-RIGHT by realigning it to the STRAITNESS derived from what God calls the STRAIGHT PATH.

Uprightness that is removal of any bends or kinks in something, and the Staightness that comes from whatever is believed to be the standard of Consistency or RIGHt path, are used here just like we use them in PHYSICS,

Similar to how we call the universe flat, when it's not actually 2 Dimensional plane to us, or how we sometimes discuss linear relationships between structures that are nothing like the 1 dimensional line we write on for example.

And the reason for that is the point out that RISING, which if you get up from sitting down, it would be removing all "curves" from your body, in context of PRAYER, it means removing any deviation from what a person believes and what is actually true. And the SECURED minds that God is instructing would know how to do that by following these rules:

Washing

What does it mean to "WASH" something in the abstract sense? If we start from the common understanding of washing as removal of debris or dirt or something that is not supposed to be there from or out of something else. I think that's plenty abstract for anyone's liking. So, the question of what it means isn't difficult at all. What we need to know is what is being washed and what is being removed off by this washing?

Going off of what we began this prayer with, we're washing the BELIEF structure of those who are attempting to UPRIGHT their Prayers. In otherwords, if God is talking to the BELIEF section of our mind, then this "washing" is talking about removal of some beliefs that this person already adobted. Ok, so which BELIEFS are we suppose to "take out" when we're trying to Upright our Prayers?

FACE

Well for Arabic and English speakers this time, this idea should seem normal which is that a "FACE" is used as a verb and not in the sence of your cheekcs and chin and whatever anatomical definition you think God intended by "face". Because the same word can be read as the "way your directing" yourself. Except it's not "yourself" being directed it's the Belief structure. Hence, it's talking about washing away any beliefs related to how or which way you direct yourself, i.e. the Qibla of your decisionmaking. Now we didn't go over this yet, but every Living and nonliving Mindvolume has a direction and a qibla among many other things that we're talking about. But it suffices to say for now that they're all linked to the STRAIGHTPATH and the House of God it leads to. So, let go of whatever you think is the TRUE NORTH direction, which is basically talking about what people think is Morally Good and what is God's Law etc..

HANDS

The second part to WASH is the "Hands". And just like the FACE was linked to BELIEFS related to your DIRECTION in life, then hands are also talking about a subset of beliefs of the person's faith which relates to what they consider to be the "correct" means to work with something. In otherwords, this about what a person believes is the right methodology. So, this would be what a person exercises to distinguish truth from falsehood. And this is phrased in a vey general sense so it can mean so many different things that cover literally every single determination of T or F and what you relied on to make that determination.

Ok, but how are we going to WASH all of these beliefs off? Are we to let go of everything we believe in every time we want to find out what is true and what it isn't? Well ideally you wouldn't have to because if you've been doing it the whole time you wouldn't even be trying after a while and it becomes natually to you. Especially since you will always be washing the FACE and HANDS up to the MEETING POINTS. As in you're only being asked to let go of what you believe that all parties don't agree on. Hence wash everything until you get to the agreed beliefs serving as greatest common denominator.

Unfortunately, in this particular case, it's a massive washing that needs to take place. Because the only thing that you and will pretty much agree on is that "we're talking". After that, everything has to be redefined properly before you even attempt to ascribe it any association to God or his Law/religion, at least according to what I know and believe is the only path he would accept from me. But a note worthy example would be this very same "prayer" we're doing about WUDU, where we're trying to connect the words/concepts/meanings to each other properly - Completely Accurate and Accurately Complete manner. Because if you don't at least suspend what you already believe to be the "right way" and "right direction", then how can I or anyone convince you that you are wrong regardless of whether you were or not.

Elbows

The root word of what's being interpreted as "Elbows" is R F K in Latin letters. And the abstract meaning of this cconcept as the

"Point where 1 or more things meet"

can be veified by taking into consideration the other spaces where terms based on the same concept R F K appear.

Some examples of the Arabic terms that use this root word are:

SEA PORTS: Where you could see why when most sea ports began as simply where all the boats found best to land, and hence it's the point in the sea whee they all meet.

Elbows: Which as you can see was a RELATIVE meaning of R F K that the Quran intends to convey, and the fact that an Elbow is where your arms' bones meet to make a hinge justifies its use in the term.

Body Guards: Which took on the name from the concept of a service about always being "around a specific someone". Hence, the concept of paying for a service that makes you the "meeting point" of many bodies for the purposes of protecting you etc...

Another word that R F K comes into is the word for "Friends", which is a more colloquial way of saying but one that has become more and more official and used in the classical version of Arabic used in speeches and official press releases in the Arabic world. But It's a good example to highlight two fact. First is that "FRIENDS" are being identified by the fact that they often share the SAME BELIEFS. Hence, they're the companions that you meet with on what you believe is true.

And the second fact is related to another use of the root word in the Arabic version of PETA. And the Arabic version translates into the organization for making friends/meet with animals. So it either means it in the way that its abstract meaning of Meeting with Animals the way Humans meet Humans, i.e. "loving care".. Or they're using it as if R F K means "friendliness" which would then demonstrate how easily Pure meanings gets diluted.

Notice how the use of WIPPING instead of WASHING for FACE AND HANDS like it did in the beginning makes perfect sense based on how WIPPING differs and how the context demanded it here....
